When does a “spontaneous” one-day holiday to Warsaw, Poland, turn into a meeting with the country’s minister for administrative affairs and digitization? When you happen to be Facebook Co-Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

ZDNet reported that Zuckerberg met with Michal Boni Wednesday afternoon, saying that they officially discussed the country’s IT industry and abundance of programmers, but the touchy topic of European privacy rules likely came up, as well.

According to ZDNet, Boni said Poland is currently the second-most-important recruiting ground for programmers, behind India and ahead of China, adding that privacy was an important issue in the country and would remain so until innovation and privacy could be successfully combined.
