Making NFC Useful Now

We have written a lot about Near Field Communication (NFC) and how it is being set up by Google and others to enable smartphones to be used to make payments, replacing credit cards. The Google Nexus S is the only Android smartphone that ships with a NFC radio, but right now it’s not very useful. Software developer Joshua Krohn has written an app called NFC Task Launcher that enables one to take advantage of that radio right now.
