Lonely Planet Launches Austin City Guide For SXSW

Just in time for SXSW, publisher Lonely Planet has a new iPhone app guide to Austin, TX. The app is free from now until 5pm PST on March 15th.

The Lonely Planet app is location aware and includes interactive maps with places listed on it like restaurants, hotels, and recommended activities. The app also includes Lonely Planet editorial content about the city with reviews of places to eat and sites to see.

SXSW also has a new mobile app for conference attendees to find their way around to the various events and venues.

And thankfully AT&T is expanding its broadband network, so hopefully all of these cool apps will actually work.
