Orange UK has just unleashed an exciting and highly scientific Easter campaign—Predict-A-Chick. This week Orange will be broadcasting a live video stream of seventeen eggs waiting to hatch and is asking fans to submit guesses about which egg will hatch first, which will hatch last, which chick will have the loudest tweeter, and which will be the heaviest.
The campaign can be found on The Feed, a fun platform where Orange dishes out new playful campaigns each Monday. The campaign was posted earlier today. Orange writes, “We’re celebrating Easter by taking the old egg-dyeing ritual to the next level, the hatchery. All this week, a live camera will watch over seventeen about-to-hatch eggs on loan to us from Stepney City Farm in East London.”
When are the eggs set to hatch? Well, you’ll have to judge that for yourself. You are invited to submit your guesses on the Predict-A-Chick site, as well as to watch live feeds of the eggs from three different camera views.
Not only is it fun to guess which egg will hatch first, which chick will be loudest and more and wait to see how many you got right, but if you are a UK resident then there are prizes up for grabs too. If you are a resident of the UK and you get one correct guess then you’ll be entered into a drawing for the chance to win an Easter hamper (I’m guessing an Easter hamper is British for Easter basket…readers in the UK?). The player that gets the most correct guesses overall will win a dinner for two. If you aren’t a UK resident you can still make predictions and, of course, check out the live feed of the eggs, which should be adorable once they begin hatching.
This campaign is very timely, not only because Easter is just around the corner but also because it has come hot off the tails of the recent hatching of baby eagles on the Decorah Eagle Cam. Earlier this month some bald eagle babies hatched and got millions of views online. It will be interesting to see how many people tune in to view the Orange baby chicks a-hatching.
Check out the live stream of the Predict-A-Chick webcam and let us know which egg you think will hatch first. I’m going with #17 (just a gut feeling). What do you think?
