LinkedIn Releases SlideShare Player for Infographics

Infographics are the long-legged cousins of the standard graph or chart: the ones you unfortunately didn't have enough room to invite to your slide show. Today, LinkedIn has released a new SlideShare player just for them.

Infographics are the long-legged cousins of the standard graph or chart: the ones you unfortunately didn’t have enough room to invite to your slide show.

Today, LinkedIn has released a new SlideShare player just for them.

SlideShare lets people upload and display PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and Adobe PDF Portfolios in an embeddable and shareable format. LinkedIn acquired the company in 2012 to give professionals a cleaner way to present their projects on the network.

The infographic player features a vertical scroll for viewers to read the page from top to bottom instead of left to right.

A free analytics tool shows uploaders how many views, downloads and embeds their infographics have received; SlideShare PRO users will have access to more data points and reporting tools.
