They’re moms, they’re bloggers, and they’re helping their communities: Three bloggers on LifetimeMoms.com will participate in the 12-week Clean Start Challenge, a sweepstakes from A&E Television Networks’ AETN Digital Media division.
The winner will receive $10,000 to donate to their favorite charity, and the two runners-up will get $2,500 each for the same purpose. Users can track the contestants’ progress via weekly videos on LifetimeMoms.com and vote for their favorites.
Stephanie Elie from Tarzana, Calif., will create a support system to help women explore entrepreneurship or career change, and she will donate her winnings to Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship. She is being coached by Colleen Padilla from Phoenixville, Pa.
Audrey McClelland from Warwick, R.I, will organize a local book drive, and her donation will go to First Book. She is being coached by Lindsay Maines from Germantown, Md.
And Beth Feldman, from New Rochelle, N.Y., will host an event in her community to raise awareness and address the issue of childhood bullying. Her winnings are earmarked for Love Our Children USA. She is being coached by Shaina Olmanson from Roseville, Minn.
Lifetime Moms vice president Kim Dobson said:
For the past three years, we’ve focused the Clean Start Challenge on individuals and their resolutions, but this year, we wanted to broaden the contest and promote doing good and making change in local communities. Not only are the three participating women passionate about their missions, but their journeys will offer a roadmap to others, who can follow their lead and help create similar change across the country.
