“Let’s” allows users to break the ice digitally on mobile

At this year’s CES in Las Vegas, Blue Bay Inc. is announcing the launch of its new and improved micro-networking platform Let’s. The Android and iPhone app aims to help users connect with like-minded individuals to complete all manner of activities, from simply chatting to meeting up in the real world.

Let’s users can sign up with Facebook or Twitter, or register an independent account. The app gathers a user’s name, gender, email address, birth date and public location, and allows users to control their visibility to others within the app to retain privacy. Let’s users can share their locations with friends and family via their connected social networks, or they can simply browse the community of nearby Let’s users to meet new friends.

When publicly visible, Let’s users can input their desired activity for others to see, hopefully finding someone interested in joining them based on that common activity. Blue Bay offers a few use case examples, like sharing a cab, being a carpool buddy, having someone to talk to over a coffee break, or even trying out a new restaurant without having to go alone.

Once users connect on Let’s, they can add each other as friends and send free instant messages using text, pictures, audio or video. Users can also be blocked when things don’t work out.

Let’s Version 2.0 comes with a variety of new features, including a nearby news ticker, an improved map interface and an “improved overall user experience.”
