Update: Lady Gaga Approves Weird Al ‘Born This Way’ Parody
Yesterday morning Weird Al Yankovic’s latest parody, of Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’, hit YouTube with an interesting text intro: "The following song was supposed to be the first single from my upcoming album. Unfortunately, it did not receive Lady Gaga’s approval."
Yesterday morning Weird Al Yankovic’s latest parody, of Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’, hit YouTube with an interesting text intro: “The following song was supposed to be the first single from my upcoming album. Unfortunately, it did not receive Lady Gaga’s approval.”
The song pokes fun at Lady Gaga’s fashion sense, starting out by taking a shot at Gaga’s Grammy get-up, “My mama told me when I was hatched, Act like a superstar.” As the song continues he alludes to Lady Gaga’s dress made of meat, her random usages of French, her little monsters and more.
Yesterday morning, Weird Al posted on his blog, Al’s Blog, “I wrote and recorded what I thought was going to be the first single off my new album: a parody of “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga called “Perform This Way.”
