Kobo Launches German Language eReader

Kobo released a German language version of the Kobo Touch eReader. The eReader will be available at German retailers for €149 beginning on Oct 1, 2011. The company announced the device at IFA in Berlin this week.

The device will be supported by Kobo’s existing German-language eBookstores. Since the store launched in July, Kobo has expanded the library to more than 80,000 German language titles and a total of 2.5 million eBooks.

Michael Serbinis, CEO of Kobo, stated: “This announcement marks Kobo’s entry into the European market and an industry first.
