Kobo Debuts "Reading Life" Social Platform For iPhone

Kobo launched its social eReading platform today for the iPhone. Called “Kobo Reading Life,” the platform is like Foursquare.

It lets readers track their reading habits, unlock achievement-based badges, and check in with characters and places they encounter in enhanced eBooks. Readers can also share their progress with friends.

Kobo first announced the social platform back in September, when they said it would come preloaded on the BlackBerry Playbook. The company then launched an iPad app version of the platform in December.
