Kerrang!, the weekly music magazine which has been essential reading material for every teenage rock fan in the UK since 1981, is trialling a new Twitter-controlled experiment for its radio station that lets fans decide which tunes they would like to hear.
Kerrang! Radio has more than one million weekly listeners, and since launching the concept earlier this month the show has increased its audience by about six percent.
“Kerrang! listeners are passionate, smart and have boundless enthusiasm for the alternative music scene they love,” said Kerrang! Radio music and content director, Ric Blaxill. “This show gives them control of the playlist, and offers a dynamic and real time radio show which they are at the heart of.”
