Jive Software Acquires Filtrbox

Social-enterprise-software maker Jive Software acquired Filtrbox, which provides social-media-monitoring tools, and the companies said Filtrbox’s technology will be absorbed into Jive’s platform, TechCrunch reported.

According to ReadWriteWeb, Jive was seeking a social-media-monitoring component to add to its platform, and it selected Filtrbox due to its user experience, collaboration features, scalable architecture and social intelligence.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jive will initially market Filtrbox through its Jive Market Engagement solution, alongside Radian6, ReadWriteWeb reported.

Filtrbox lets users monitor content sources including blogs, Twitter, Facebook and FriendFeed, and then receive continuous or periodic updates after choosing terms they want to keep track of, weeding out duplicates, according to TechCrunch.

Jive CEO Dave Hersh said:

Our acquisition of Filtrbox is another example of Jive’s leadership in defining and delivering Social Business Software solutions that deliver real business impact.
