Japanese gaming giant GREE shutters UK operations
Japanese mobile gaming giant GREE has shuttered its UK offices in an effort to consolidate the company’s Western operations to the offices that remain in the US.
In an email statement obtained by TechCrunch, GREE’s UK business development director Lynn Daniel confirmed the closure of the UK office.
“Due to the challenging economic climate and on-going changes within the interactive industry, GREE has proposed to close its UK office,” the statement reads. “This decision is being considered in order to focus on developing content from the United States of America for the Western market.”
