iVillage Names Syfy's Mirian Arias VP of Communications
Mirian Arias left the world of science fiction for the world of women’s-targeted Web content, joining iVillage as vice president of communications after serving as director of publicity for sister NBC Universal property Syfy, formerly Sci Fi Channel.
At iVillage, she will lead external and internal communications, overseeing press outreach, media-relations strategy, and employee communications and reporting to executive VP Jodi Kahn and Hilary Smith, senior VP of communications for NBC Universal Women & Lifestyle Entertainment Networks.
