What’s New In Facebook’s IOS, Android Apps?
Facebook released new versions of its flagship applications for iOS and Android Wednesday, with the iOS app adding some unannounced tweaks to its recently introduced opt-in Nearby Friends feature, while the major addition to the Android app was the ability for users to like posts, photos, and pages while they are offline.

The “what’s new” section of Facebook’s entry in the iTunes App Store only indicates “improvements for reliability and speed,” but the social network confirmed to Josh Constine of TechCrunch that it added a search box and invite button to Nearby Friends, adding that these tweaks were not listed because Nearby Friends is only available in the U.S.
