iOS 8 will be able to scan credit cards with camera

Apple’s new iOS 8 will come with a series of new features, but the most exiting one is the capability to easily scan in your credit card using your iPhone camera. It works similarly to the iTunes gift card scanner.

According to 9to5Mac, the feature will be most noticeable in Safari when users can choose to “Scan Credit Card” when putting in new credit card data for purchases.

The browser is capable of utilizing Apple’s optical character recognition to see, identify, and then input the data for you.
