Reader Matteo Gamba of Wimdu shared the screenshots above and below, in which he was prompted to suggest that a friend install Messenger, and clicking on the link generated the message below.
Facebook has also been pushing users who have not yet downloaded Messenger to do so with prompts on their chat menus, discovered earlier this month.
