Intel Acquires Education eBook Maker Kno
Intel is expanding its education offering with the acquisition of software startup Kno, which supplies enhanced textbooks to mobile devices. The acquisition will provide Intel with 225,000 K-12 and higher education titles, the company said.
Kno’s apps provide students with digital textbooks. They are available on iPads, Android and Windows 7 and 8. The apps provide more than books, though. They offer extra content, such as 3D models, videos, personal study guides, and social functions, such as note sharing among classmates.
