Flowv2650In the absence of an official Instagram application for the iPad, developer Codegent will release the second version of its Flow app Wednesday afternoon.

Codegent debuted Flow last December, saying at the time that the app was designed specifically for the iPad, and for iOS 7, but it is backwards-compatible with iOS 6, and it runs on all models of the tablet except the original iPad.

The most-requested new feature in version 2.0 of Flow is support for portrait mode, and other additions include smart preloading, a revamped design, and an optional premium upgrade that unlocks multiple accounts, themes, and an extended home feed.
