An Infographic History Of YouTube Partners

By Megan O'Neill

Following last month’s news of YouTube opening their partner program to everyone, New Media Rockstars has released a fun infographic outlining the history of YouTube’s Partner Program and some of their biggest partners.

The infographic, ‘History of YouTube Partners,’ starts in 2005 with the launch of YouTube and goes through YouTube’s news of new partner eligibility, stopping along the way to remember key moments such as the YouTube Partner program launch in 2007, the creation of big channels like Fred, SMOSH, Machinima, freddiew, Nigahiga, and more.

The infographic also lists the current top 10 most-subscribed channels of all time topped by RayWilliamJohnson with over 5.4 million subscribers, nigahiga with over 5.2 million subscribers and Smosh, with over 4.6 million subscribers.  Check out VidStatsX for a full list of the most-subscribed YouTube channels.
