The summer movie season is in full swing, and social media software company Expion examined the Facebook marketing strategies of eight of this year’s biggest blockbusters between May 1 and June 24.
Expion’s findings included:
- Iron Man 3 topped the list with more than 3.2 million fan actions (likes. comments, and shares), using a strategy of focusing on witty one-liners by main character Tony Stark.
- Hangover III followed a similar path to second place, putting Zack Galifinakis’ character, Alan, on 44 percent of its posts.
