Many beautiful data visualizations begin with a set of numbers in an Excel spreadsheet, but the data usually ends up in another program for the visualization part. Today, Infogram has released Infogr.am Charts: an app that that can transform raw data from an Excel spreadsheet into an interactive chart.
Here are the details:
Infogr.am Charts for Excel features 30 different chart types and various designs. Charts can be easily published online, shared on social networks, embedded in a news article or a blog post. All the data is automatically synchronized and stored in the cloud. Even if you don’t save your spreadsheet you can bring your data back any time as they are placed in your Infogr.am library.
Note that you’ll need the latest version of the software, Microsoft Excel 2013, to use the app.
Infogram was founded in 2012 as a web-based design service for non-designers. As of June 2013, the Infogram community has grown to 500,000 members who have created a collective 1 million infographics, according to company statistics.
