“We want to empower developers, so rather than hope that other stimulus packages would prop them up, we decided to use a direct stimulus approach of our own,” said Ifbyphone CEO Irv Shapiro, referring to his company’s new economic stimulus package for iPhone application developers.
As if Apple’s iTunes App Store needs any more stimulation, developers who create the most innovative iPhone apps using the Ifbyphone iPhone template will get $1,000 to put towards full development of their Ifbyphone-to-iPhone mashup.
