HootSuite Acquires Social Analytics Leader UberVU

Yesterday HootSuite announced the acquisition of uberVU, a market leader in the space of social analytics. UberVU’s real-time social media marketing platform is used by over 200 customers, including Fujitsu, S.C. Johnson, and NBC.

Soon, HootSuite will be implementing uberUV’s tech into their popular social media dashboard, boosting their existing analytics capabilities. UberVU’s standalone social products are still available via HootSuite.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but both HootSuite and uberVU have written about the acquisition on their respective blogs.

HootSuite:

uberVU helps businesses better understand their social audience by identifying key influencers on relevant topics, easily detecting real-time spikes in engagement (with insights on sentiment, location, and demographics), and highlighting important mentions.
