How Much Do Software Engineers Get Paid At Twitter, LinkedIn, Yahoo, Google & Facebook? [STUDY]

So you want to be a software engineer?

Good call. The streets, as they say, are paved with gold, particularly in Silicon Valley, where engineers at the top firms command six figure sums, stock options, and more.

But who pays the best? Glassdoor tracked the 25 highest-paying companies for software engineers in 2013 and discovered that Juniper Networks’ average base salary of $159,990 beat out second-placed LinkedIn by more than twenty thousand dollars.

Yahoo and Google finished third and fourth respectively, with Twitter putting in a good show in fifth, paying an average of $124,863 to its engineers.
