Harris Interactive Poll: Web Usage Fairly Steady

Harris Interactive polled 2,029 people about their Internet usage in early July and mid-October and found very slight changes compared with its 2008 results, CNET reported.

A total of 80% of respondents were online in 2009, down slightly from 80% in October. A total of 76% went online at home, a slight uptick from 75% last year. The total of those going online at work dropped a bit more dramatically, to 40% in 2009 from 43% in 2008, but the rising unemployment rate may have a little something to do with that.
