Celebrate The Festival Of Lights With 8 Fun Hanukkah Videos

By Megan O'Neill

Happy Hanukkah, ladies and gents.  Going into the third night of the Jewish Festival Of Lights we’ve put together a list of eight fun videos to help you celebrate.  From Hanukkah-themed musical parodies to a news blooper and even a Rube Goldberg machine, these are the perfect videos to watch while the candles burn down on your menorah.  Chag sameach!

Hanukkah 101 – Rube Goldberg Machine – Technion Israel

Mechanical engineering students at the Technion, Eyal Cohen and Tomer Wassermann, created a festive Rube Goldberg machine that ends with the lighting of the Hanukkah menorah.  The video has racked up over 320,000 views so far.  Like Rube Goldberg machines?  Check out our list of 10 unbelievable Rube Goldberg machine videos.

The Maccabeats – Shine – Hanukkah

Each year “The Maccabeats” release a fun Hanukkah music video.  Here’s there latest, Shine.

South Park – Dreidel Song

A list of Hanukkah videos wouldn’t be complete without this awesome rendition of the Dreidel Song from South Park.  The Dreidel is so very interesting!

StandFour – Eight Nights – Hanukkah Mashup

StandFour put together this awesome Hanukkah-themed parody of the song Some Nights by the band Fun.

Adam Sandler Chanukah Song

Here’s one of my all-time favorite Hanukkah songs—Adam Sandler’s Chanukah Song.  So much fun-akkah!!

Matisyahu “Happy Hanukkah”

Jewish reggae, alt-rock star Matisyahu just released his annual Hanukkah song, ‘Happy Hanukkah.’  Try to watch without bobbing your head.

Hanukkah Lovin’

Here’s a slightly jazzier Hanukkah song—Hanukkah Lovin’ by Michelle Citrin.

Hanukkah Kid News Blooper

This next video made an appearance on last year’s Hanukkah video roundup, but news bloopers are always a good time so we thought we’d share it again.  Speaking of news bloopers, check out a list of some of our favorite news bloopers on YouTube.

BONUS: Hasidic Jews going Gangnam style

We thought we’d throw in a ninth video for good measure—think of it as the shamash!  It’s not exactly Hanukkah related, but it does feature a bunch of Hasidic Jews going crazy for Gangnam Style so, of course, we couldn’t resist!  Enjoy!
