Half of The Time U.S. Consumers Spend in Mobile Apps is With Games

Flurry said U.S. consumers are spending nearly half of the time they use mobile apps inside games. Across the network of 140,000 apps that Flurry tracks, U.S. users spend 49 percent of their time in games, and then 30 percent of their time in social networking apps. After that is entertainment and then news.

It’s not terribly surprising considering games have usually been the leading vertical on emerging consumer-facing platforms like Facebook. They also usually dominate the paid, free and grossing charts on the iOS and Android. But
