Facebook Testing Graph Search Via Mobile

Facebook has begun testing Graph Search on mobile, a spokesperson for the social network confirmed to The Verge after Seth Fiegerman of Mashable posted screen shots of the feature this past weekend.

The screenshot above, via Fiegerman, features Facebook’s current mobile search interface on the left and its mobile search interface with Graph Search on the right. The screenshots below featuring mobile Graph Search in use are also from Fiegerman.

Fiegerman said mobile Graph Search features much of the same functionality as the feature on desktop, but in the bottom screenshot, when he searched for “restaurants that my friends visited nearby,” Facebook used the GPS on his mobile phone to determine his current location, and then displayed restaurants his friends had mentioned on Facebook in the past.
