When Newsweek reported that Grand Rapids, Michigan was a "dying city", Grand Rapids set out to prove them wrong, lip dub-style. On May 22, 2011, downtown Grand Rapids shut down in order to film the largest and longest lip dub video ever.

On May 22, 2011, downtown Grand Rapids shut down in order to film the largest and longest lip dub video ever, complete with marching bands, parades, motorcades, weddings, a helicopter ride and even bridges on fire, made to prove that they are very well still alive and kicking.
