Google Video Thrown Overboard
Users who have uploaded content in the past were sent an email last week from Google. The email informed them that on April 29 2011 the site will no longer host any more videos. Users are being advised to transfer their files to YouTube.
The time has come for a former good thing to come to an end. Google Video is walking the plank and will be history at the end of April 2011. Google Video, most likely, will not be missed by Internet users. However, Google Video did have its heyday as YouTube’s rival, but that was short lived when Google purchased the popular video site in 2006.
