Google Unveils Plans for New Campus
Google will build a new 1.1 million-square-foot campus in Mountain View, leaving behind some of the iconic buildings of the Web boom -- and some of the pollution from the semiconductor and personal computing origins of Silicon Valley.
Google will build a new 1.1 million-square-foot campus in Mountain View, leaving behind some of the iconic buildings of the Web boom — and some of the pollution from the semiconductor and personal computing origins of Silicon Valley.
The company’s headquarters is a series of office buildings, mostly on Charleston Road in Mountain View. The campus has grown so large that the company lends bicycles to employees to travel from one building to another.
Google will remain in Mountain View, but will reportedly move closer to the southern reaches of the San Francisco Bay.
