Google Tackles the Web Browser (and Microsoft)

Years of Internet rumors have panned out as Google sets to launch the initial version on Chrome, their very own shiny Web browser.

Available in more than 100 countries (Windows only), Google promises innovation and a satisfactory user experience, all within a clean and simple interface.


“What we really needed was not just a browser, but also a modern platform for web pages and applications, and that’s what we set out to build.”

Google’s argument is that pre-Chrome browsers utilize a model that was designed for text pages.
