Google latest incremental step to make their mobile web services indespensible is “News near you” in Google News.
Introducing “News near you” on Google News for mobile
Here’s how you get started.
– Point your Android or iPhone browser at news.google.com
– Accept when asked if you want to share your location
– Use the “Jump to” button near the upper right of the display to go directly to “News near you” which is at the bottom of the news list
Most of the news in my area came from the daily newspaper and the local ABC and CBS stations.
