Google Maps Update For iOS Brings Live Traffic Updates & iPad Redesign
Following a redesign of its Android app, Google has released a new update for the Google Maps iOS app. In addition to the usual directions that the app already offers, the latest update also brings about live traffic updates and incident reports to help users find their way in real time and avoid traffic.
Google Maps 2.0 also brings about a new design for the iPad with an updated look and feel. Beyond serving as a map tool, the new design turns the Google app into a services search tool that seems more like Yelp.
