Google Maps has already reached the 10 million download mark in just 48 hours since it launched last Wednesday, according to a Google+ post from Jeff Huber, senior vice president, commerce and local at Google.
Although it took more than 13 weeks for the app to release, the high amount of downloads in such a short amount of time shows how eager iOS users were to using an alternative to the well criticized Apple Maps app.
Our traffic tracking service AppData shows that Google Maps has been the No. 1 app on the top free iPhone apps chart since last Friday.
