Google employees working in Mountain View buildings that sit on a Superfund site contaminated by previous silicon chip manufacturers do face health risks from the exposure, according to an Environmental Protection Report obtained by the Center for Investigative Reporting.

SocialTimes reported last month that a couple of buildings that make up part of the company’s headquarters had experienced elevated levels of the toxic vapor trichloroethylene, or TCE.

At least 1,000 employees work in the buildings where chemicals levels surged above sanctioned levels.
