REPORT: Facebook No. 9 In Annual Average Software Engineer Base Salary
Facebook came in at No. 9 on the 2013 list of the 25 highest-paying companies for software engineers from social jobs and career community Glassdoor, after placing second on Glassdoor’s 2012 list, which included only tech companies.

The social network’s annual average software engineer base salary of $121,507 was still well above the national average of $92,790, and Glassdoor said all 25 companies on its 2013 list topped that average.
Glassdoor compiled its list based on companies with at least 50 software engineer salary reports over the past 12 months, saying it totaled more than 33,000 salary reports.

Not surprisingly, the San Francisco Bay area, home to Facebook and several other companies on the list, was the top city in terms of average software engineer base salaries, at $111,885, with Seattle ($103,196) and San Diego ($93,993)...
