Mobile game company Gamevil has today announced its acquisition of mobile developer and publisher Com2uS. The Korean based companies will leverage their user-bases to increase the pair’s standing in the global market.
Com2uS reported record quarterly revenue in May, with sales up 17 percent quarter-over-quarter. Its games include Homerun Battle 2, Tiny Pop and Golf Star, among many others. The company’s Com2uS Hub mobile social network has previously experienced strong growth, gaining over 20 million users in a period of six months during 2012.
Meanwhile, Gamevil’s catalog of games, including Train City, Steel Commanders and Dark Avenger, have been downloaded over 300 million times, with Dark Avenger alone crossing the 10 million download mark late last month. Its own mobile social network, Gamevil Circle, helps games gain traction through cross-promotion across the entire Gamevil network of games.
