Gameloft Will Cut Dungeon Hunter II's Price Based on Facebook, Twitter Votes

Here’s an interesting social and mobile cross-platform marketing campaign for an app, if we’ve ever seen one.

Gameloft is using Facebook votes and Twitter retweets to drive the price of its iOS RPG Dungeon Hunter II to as low as $0.99. The more people vote, the lower the price will go and fans who submit a video to YouTube will have their vote counted 10 times. The app has been a relatively pricey $6.99 since its launch in December.

Since launching the campaign, it appears that Gameloft has added roughly 8,500 Facebook fans and a little over 5,000 votes have been cast, bringing the price down to $4.99.
