Galaxy Online II warps to the lead of this week's emerging Facebook games

IGG's space-themed strategy game, Galaxy Online II Indonesia - Game Strategi Terbaik, has managed to top this week's list of emerging Facebook games thanks to a 200 percent gain in monthly active users. That said, its numbers are still a fifth of what they were last summer. This isn't the first time Galaxy Online II has appeared on our Emerging Games list. In May 2011, the game's English version (which is now called Galaxy 2.0) appeared on the list. Galaxy 2.0 has been steadily losing MAU since last June, and other language versions -- Chinese, French, Turkish, Philippine, German and Indonesian -- demonstrate similar trends: strong numbers for several months, followed by a dramatic drop off. Galaxy Online II wasn't the only game that reentered our rankings based on a resurgence. Creara USA's Criminal Empire had a gain of 650 percent. The game's MAU is now at a level that is hasn't been at since September. Two other games on the list, Puzzle Spot and Chronicles of Herenvale, had gains of 100 percent. Name MAU Gain Gain,% 1.
