Not long after Apple released iOS 7 to the public, Facebook announced a major upgrade to its popular app for the iPhone and iPad. Facebook has improved the aesthetics and maneuverability of the iOS app, making it intuitive for Apple users.

By tapping along the bottom of the screen (see the screenshot on the right), users can switch between News Feed and friend requests, messages and notifications. Users can also tap the bottom right of the screen to see options for timeline, groups, events and more.

For those already on iOS 7, a translucent bar at the top of the app will change as the person scrolls through posts and photos. When a user taps through a story, they can also swipe from left to right to get back to News Feed.

The newest version of the iOS app is available now.

Facebook also released a video showing the new app’s capabilities:

Readers, what do you think about it?
