Friday Morning Laughs – The Post-Election Videos Edition

By Megan O'Neill

Happy Friday, ladies and gents!  It’s been a crazy week, what with the election and all, so we decided to dedicate this week’s Friday Morning Laughs to post-election videos.  We’ve put together a collection of election-themed videos that have gone viral after Tuesday night’s results, from speeches to songs and even President Obama singing MC Hammer’s ‘Can’t Touch This.’  Enjoy!

Barack Obama Singing Can’t Touch This by MC Hammer

The latest from baracksdubs has racked up over 1.3 million views in the last few days.  It features Obama singing ‘Can’t Touch This’ and it is awesome.

President Obama: “I’m Really Proud of All of You.”

This morning, a speech in which Obama cries as he thanks his campaign team is going viral.  It was posted to Barack Obama’s YouTube channel yesterday and has already garnered over 1.4 million views.

Sasha Obama to her father: “Behind you!”

This video features Sasha Obama telling her father to look behind him and wave to fans before giving his speech on election night.  Commenters are saying Sasha is one of the only people (and a kid, no less!) who can tell the President of the United States what to do!

Romney Sings Concession !!!

Rather than songifying Romney’s concession speech, The Gregory Brothers wrote a speech of their own for him.  Of course, it’s set to music.  The video has over half a million views.

Obama’s Complete Victory Speech – Obama Wins the 2012 Election

Romney isn’t the only one who had a speech written for him by YouTube.  Alphacat uploaded this song version of Obama’s victory speech.

BONUS: Washington, D.C. Time Lapse (Empty America)

And though it’s not directly related to the election, we thought we’d share this awesome time lapse video of our nation’s capitol…empty.
