Free Language Education App is Apple's 2013 App of the Year

It’s been a great year for apps, and now that the year is nearly over, it’s time to highlight some of the best, starting with the apps being honored in the iTunes store. The coveted app of the year award was given to Duolingo, a free, educational language app that uses images and games to teach users up to 6 foreign languages. Compared to the Rosetta Stone at $274, Duolingo is a great bargain and extremely practical.
