FitStar partners with MyFitnessPal for comprehensive fitness tracking

Fitness companies FitStar and MyFitnessPal have announced a new partnership, aimed at offering improved tracking and management of health data to mobile users. The beginning of this partnership will see users given the opportunity to link their accounts across both platforms, providing improved management of their fitness data, including calories burned and overall fitness progress.

The FitStar: Tony Gonzalez iOS app was updated in December, and features exercise videos starring the Atlanta Falcons tight end. The update brought new workouts and iOS 7 optimizations to the experience, which adjusts to user performance over time.

Meanwhile, MyFitnessPal offers a large database of nutritional information for over three million food items, including those from popular brands and restaurants.
