Move over, Facebook Messenger: You’ve got company on the Firefox Social API. Mozilla announced the addition of several social partners to its application-programming interface, which launched last November, solely with Messenger.

Move over, Facebook Messenger: You’ve got company on the Firefox Social API. Mozilla announced the addition of several social partners to its application-programming interface, which launched last November, solely with Messenger.

According to the announcement by Mozilla, Cliqz, Mixi, msnNOW, and Weibo will be tested on its application-programming interface “soon.”

Mozilla added in its announcement:

Mozilla developed the Social API to enable social services and providers to integrate directly into Firefox to make users browsing experience more social, customizable, and personal.
