Super Bowl XLVI Ad Voting Is Still Open On Facebook

Super Bowl XLVI may be in the books after the New York Giants’ comeback 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots Sunday night, but there are still titles left to be won in the Super Bowl ads arena.

Fans can still vote on their favorite and least-favorite ads through 6 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday using the USA Today Ad Meter application on the Sports on Facebook page.

The voting kicked off just as the National Football League’s title game kicked off.

The results of the USA Today Ad Meter voting will be announced Tuesday night.

In other Super Bowl ad news, AddThis, citing data from Clearspring, said clicking and sharing on Facebook of Super Bowl ads is already up 18 percent compared with last year.

That 18 percent figure is well below those of mobile and other social networks.

There’s one exception to all these gains: email sharing fell compared with the previous year, but that drop can be partly explained by Facebook’s strong showing last year.

The other numbers from Clearspring are:

  • Tumblr: up 615 percent;
  • Mobile: up 500 percent;
  • Overall sharing: up 143 percent;
  • Twitter: up 116 percent; and
  • Email: down 16 percent.
