Facebook Expands Editing Of '@ Tags'
Facebook's "@' tagging continues to add options, as users can now edit the names of the people or pages they are tagging.
Facebook’s “@ tagging” continues to add options, as users can now edit the names of the people or pages they are tagging.
Steve Allard of Wise Metrics pointed out in a blog post that while Facebook users could previously only shorten the displayed names, now they can edit those names in any way they see fit.
According to Allard, users of the social network wishing to take advantage of this functionality must find the Facebook page ID of the tagged page they want to edit, by changing the “www” in the URL of the page to “graph.”
