Facebook starts asking why you hid a News Feed post

Facebook appears to be testing a questionnaire that digs deeper into the reasoning behind why someone hides a post. Websonic.nl and Post Planner noticed that Facebook is asking users why they’ve hidden something.

Facebook does this when a user hides a sidebar ad, but now it appears that it is testing this functionality within the News Feed for posts. Websonic.nl pointed out a questionnaire after a personal post, and the above screenshot from Post Planner shows that Facebook is also asking users for the reasoning behind a hide of a page post.

As Facebook constantly tweaks its post-sorting News Feed algorithm, feedback like this is important, at it allows users to tell what they want to see (and what they don’t want to see) in News Feed.
