The website for A&E Television Networks' Biography Channel uses Facebook plugins to display which celebrities share birthdays, hometowns and alma mater with visitors and their friends.
The website for A&E Television Networks’ Biography Channel has launched tailored versions of Facebook plugins called My Connections and Your Friends’ Connections.
After signing in with Facebook Connect, My Connections compares users’ information such as hometown, date of birth, and alma mater, with more than 6,000 famous people in Bio’s database, displaying common intersections.
Your Friends’ Connections does the same for Facebook members on users’ friends lists.
A widget for the Connections feature also appears on most pages that are part of Bio.com
